Please help us make our 2023 World Peace Day Celebration Possible! International Day of Peace also known as World Peace Day was established in 1981 by the UN. Today peace is celebrated across the globe every year on September 21 as a way to encourage greater public commitments to peace building through peace education and public awareness.

Since 2009, the Center of Peace Education has celebrated the day with peace education activities —youth parades; peace dances; poetry, song, music, and drama and by conferring academic certificates on students who have completed our year-long Peace Education program and moving one as Peace Ambassadors.

Your money will help us to provide food (sadly, for some students, this will be the only meal they will eat for the day); drinking water; and clothing (i.e., t-shirts, caps), and will also help us pay to print student certificates and offset the costs of the hall rental and sound system rental.

Every penny helps and all will not only help us to celebrate peace and certificate our students as Peace Ambassadors, but more important to put food inside the hungry bellies of our students most of whom at times cannot afford a meal (i.e., the level of hunger in Liberia is serious and high according to Global Hunger Index Report 2023).
